EREBUS

The Franklin's expedition departed from Greenhithe, England on the morning of 19 May 1845. The ships HMS Erebus and HMS Terror were heading for the Arctic in search of the Northwest Passage. The last time both ships were seen was in July 1845. 

The Terror and the Erebus (which means Darkness in ancient greek) remained trapped in the arctic ice at south of King William Island for at least two years. In April 1848 there were still living men inside the two ships.

This story tells, in a fantastic way, the last days of terror and white darkness of the Franklin's Expedition.
